Attorney Joshua Morrison

Josh’s career has been dedicated to helping people.  He has a passion for making things right which is why he entered law.  His almost fifteen years of experience demonstrate that.  He has prosecuted child support cases, handled numerous special victim’s cases, assisted vulnerable clients in family and juvenile law cases, and taken and won almost a hundred cases involving the worst crimes, such as murder and rape, before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals.

Using a collaborative approach to both leadership and working with clients, Josh tries to zero in on exactly what a client’s needs are and make every effort to achieve those results. When that is not possible, he works to ensure the best outcome possible.  Josh has a special passion for helping children, which is why he is going through the process of becoming a foster parent.

After graduating salutatorian at his high school, Josh attended the University of Tennessee on a full scholarship and graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.  Falling in love with Atlanta, he moved here and attended the Emory University School of Law on a full academic scholarship.

Since graduation, Josh has had the opportunity to work with people across the state, from Waycross to Warner Robins to metro Atlanta.  This includes taking a leadership role in the communities he has served by being involved in local bar associations, charities, and judicial political campaigns.  He has also served the victims of family violence and both adult and child sexual assault through his work which includes heading the Family Violence Council in Houston County.  That passion has extended to his work in family law.  First and foremost, Josh believes in assisting his clients achieve their goals.  In situations where he has worked on behalf of children, he has attempted to make sure the needs of the child are met and that neither parent is treated unfairly by the system.

Josh also has a passion for helping animals.  He has adopted three dogs including one he recently fostered and developed a bond with despite the psychological damage that he has to assist with.  He also volunteers with an animal rescue organization.

In addition to his legal career, Josh has had a very successful career as an information technology specialist.  He started building websites in 1999 and his experience with computers goes back to 1989.  As a result, he has served dual roles as an attorney and in the IT department of most places he has worked.  This experience also serves him in both legal research and in client research.

Overall, Josh’s experience in family law, criminal law, and now insurance law combined with his passion to help serves him well in his career and allows him to focus all of his skills into assisting his clients. He balances passion and emotion with professionalism and composure.  These dual abilities allow him to work with other parties when appropriate and to fight with a fiery intensity, all to make sure his clients know he cares about them and the outcome of their case.
